50th Women’s Senior Championship

Entry Fee: $190.00 (includes breakfast, lunch and golf cart). 
Entries Close: Monday, September 9, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

Late entries will NOT be accepted

ELIGIBILITY: 
Entries are open to female amateur golfers who meet ALL of the following:

-Entrant must be age fifty (50) or above as of September 17, 2019.

-Entrant must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status.

-Entrant must meet ALL of these Handicap and Membership Requirements:

  • Hold a USGA Handicap Index of 19.4 or less, as of the September 1, 2019 Handicap Revision at a NJSGA member club/course. She must be listed on this club’s GHIN Handicap Roster.
  • Maintain good standing and remain on the above Handicap Roster through the Championship proper.

-If entering from a public facility, or Club Without Real Estate, entrant must be a permanent resident of New Jersey. Proof of residency may be required.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT: 
36-Holes, Stroke Play. In the event of a tie for the Championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held immediately upon the completion of play to determine a winner. Any tie in another flight will be broken by the USGA method for the matching of cards.
 
Handicap flights will be created and based upon each player’s USGA Handicap Index as of the September 15, 2019 Revision. An additional Super-Senior flight will be created and will be comprised of players who are 65 and over (as of September 17, 2019). These players will be placed in both the Super-Senior flight and their respective Handicap flight.

Transportation/Caddies: Permitted; each player’s cart fee is included in the entry fee. A player may also bring a caddie or reserve a club caddie (if available). A player is NOT permitted to walk and carry her own bag. Caddies are required to walk the course.
Pull/Push Carts: Refer to specific Player Information Sheet for host club’s policy.

PRIZES
The Mrs. James Dorment Championship Trophy will be presented to the Champion, engraved with her name, and displayed at her home club. Prizes awarded to the champion, runner-up and flight champions.

 

FINAL DECISION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE NJSGA. THE NJSGA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR WITHDRAW AN ENTRY AT ANY TIME, BEFORE OR DURING A COMPETITION OR MODIFY THE CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM ANYTIME, IN ITS DISCRETION.
